Engineering Ambassadors head to Norway

Faculty adviser Melissa Marshall along with Engineering Ambassadors Danielle DaSilva and Kim Harrison traveled to Oslo, Norway to meet with a group of female students from the University of Oslo. During a week long workshop, the Engineering Ambassadors assisted the University of Oslo in starting the Prepare Program, similar to our Engineering Ambassador program at Penn State. The trip was a success for both parties, sharing cultures, enthusiasm, and a commitment to encourage female students to pursue science and engineering.

Engineering Ambassador is crowned homecoming queen

One of our Engineering Ambassadors, Danielle DaSilva, was crowned Homecoming Queen. Danielle, a mechanical engineering/bioengineering dual-major also serves as president of the Society of Women Engineers, treasurer of the Biomedical Engineering Society, an envoy in the Career Resources and Employer Relations Office and a tour guide for the Lion Scouts.
